Windermere Mercer Island is collecting new and gently used items for babies and children during the month of May. These items will benefit Eastside Baby Corner (EBC), a local non-profit that helps provide basic necessities to children via local social service providers. The agents and staff of Windermere Mercer Island are conducting this drive as part of our 2016 Community Service Day project. Sara Katayama, one of our coordinators for Community Service Day, shared, “We’re ecstatic that we are partnering with the Eastside Baby Corner…Eastside Baby Corner does a fabulous job helping children thrive with immediate assistance, school-preparedness, as well as being health and safety focused, and we hope to help by providing additional resources for their work!”
Windermere Mercer Island’s owner, Julie Barrows, is also excited about our partnership with EBC, “We are absolutely thrilled to partner with such a well-run organization as Eastside Baby Corner. They serve countless local families each week, behind the scenes, through regional, community, and social service centers. Windermere has been a huge sponsor of Eastside Baby Corner since its beginning so it was an easy decision this year to choose them as our annual Community Service Day recipient. Our team will be collecting new and gently used baby and children’s items all month and then cleaning, prepping and delivering them as part of our Community Service Day activities. We hope you’ll join us in making a difference for babies and children through Eastside Baby Corner.”
We sincerely appreciate all the donations that have been made to date. We still have 16 days left in the month of May. If you would like to help out and make a donation to benefit EBC, you can bring your donation to our office located at 2737 77th Ave SE STE 100, Mercer Island. The most needed items for the children EBC serves are the following: boys and girls socks & underwear, diapers, pull-ups, lotion, shampoo, colored markers and pencils, Spanish books, school-age boys shoes.
