Memorial Day weekend is upon us! Will you be staying in town for this holiday? If you are, Folklife Festival will once again take over Seattle Center for the weekend. For over 40 years, Folklife has offered free admission for three days culture and music from around the world. This is also the final weekend of the wildly popular Pompeii Exhibit at the Pacific Science Center. The hours for Saturday through Monday have been extended to accommodate as many visitors as possible. Click here for more details.
The Seattle Times published a list of ten events around the Puget Sound Region to honor veterans, including a special ceremony at the Museum of Flight scheduled on Monday. Is there a tradition you follow on Memorial Day to honor those who fought for our country? My son’s Boy Scout Troop would place American Flags on the graves of veterans at a local cemetery and perform a special flag ceremony there on Memorial Day.
After the whirlwind open house weekend last Friday through Sunday, this weekend’s offerings are on the light side. Our brokers are going to hold open one brand new listing in Kirkland on Saturday and Sunday. It’s a lovely Lake Washington view townhome in the dreamy Yarrow Bay neighborhood. Details for the open houses are below, along with a video tour.
Have a safe, fun, fabulous Memorial Day Weekend.
