Celebrating Halloween On Mercer Island – 2014 Edition

Trick or Treat MapHalloween is just a few days away! Make sure to come trick-or-treat the Mercer Island Town Center from 3-5pm on Halloween. Above is the map of participating businesses– 61 total. Local children’s musician, Nancy Stewart, will be on hand to perform around the Town Center. Walgreens will have a photographer on hand to take photos of trick-or-treaters in costume. The cost? FREE. We will have treats for all the ghouls and goblins who stop by Windermere Real Estate/Mercer Island!

Those businesses with an ** next to their names are food pantry drop-off locations. Look for the specially decorated boxes to place your non-perishable food items. Here are some of the most needed food items for the Mercer Island Youth and Family Services (MIYFS) Food Pantry:

  • cereal
  • soups
  • tuna
  • peanut butter and jelly
  • pasta and sauces
  • school lunch snacks
  • canned fruit

There are also 13 Southend Shopping Center businesses that will have treats for trick-or-treaters. Check out the list here.

Children Trick-or-treatingThe Lakes neighborhood celebrates Halloween in style. Trick-or-treating runs from 5pm to 9pm at The Lakes, and there will be drop-off boxes for non-perishable foods to benefit MIYFS Food Pantry.
