Seattle History Buffs and Modern Architecture Fans – this Queen Anne area event will be right up your alley! The Queen Anne Historical Society is hosting a unique tour of 7 properties on Saturday, June 14th. The main focus of the tour will be two fabulous Mid-Century buildings, Canlis Restaurant and the Swedish Club. Both feature unrivaled views and will provide a historical backdrop to a discussion regarding 5 new construction homes recently completed in the Queen Anne neighborhood. The architects of these 5 homes will speak about their project goals and the structure’s fit within the context of the contemporary idiom in the Queen Anne neighborhood.
Attendees have the option of touring by car or bicycle. Drivers need to meet at Canlis prior to the 2 pm start time. Bicycle riders will meet up at the Swedish Club to start touring at 1:30 pm. Both touring options will finish up by 6pm.
