Here’s a list of most needed, non-perishable, foods:
canned meat and tuna, pasta, rice products, peanut butter & jelly, canned fruit and vegetables, school lunch items, cereals, soups, spaghetti sauce, 100% fruit juice, canned stew and chili, canned beans, 1 qt envelopes of powdered milk, vegetable oil, macaroni and cheese, Jars of baby food (1st & 2nd foods only, please) and nutrition shakes.
The donated food will benefit several Eastside food banks, including the Mercer Island Food Pantry, located Luther Burbank Administration Building (2040 84th Avenue SE) in Luther Burbank Park. MIYFS operates the Mercer Island Food Pantry.
Windermere R.E. / Mercer Island, along with 25 other Windermere Real Estate offices in the Northwest, is working with Northwest Harvest and the Emergency Food Network to collect more than 1 Million Pounds of food for families in the Puget Sound Region. We are honored to be a drop-off location within the community of Mercer Island, to help Fill the Bowl and break the Guinness World Record for the most food donated in one location.
Please drop by our office to donate any non-perishable food items now through September 14th. All donations will help us meet our goal— to keep food on the table of our neighbors through the through winter season ahead and break the Guinness World Record.
